Husband to be (HTB) booked us in for a long lunch at Manfredi at Bells this Easter Sunday. Bells at Killcare is situated in a beautiful part of the world, on the Bouddi Peninsula near quaint little villages like Hardy's Bay, Pretty Beach and Wagstaffe.
Arriving for lunch, we were both ravenous but opted for a drink in the lounge before settling in for the afternoon. The restaurant has a relaxed but sophisticated feel - comfy lounges overlooking manicured gardens and beachy blue and white striped blinds that line the verandah.
I am a sucker for gardens, so before we left I set out to take a few pics. They have a kitchen garden that supplies a range of fresh veggies, herbs and greens to the restaurant. I actually saw the kitchen-hand picking rosemary - proving that it isn't just for show! We had a fabulous time, beautiful food, relaxing atmosphere, great staff and a stunning location.
Having only spent a little bit of time around the Central Coast, we decided to make a mini-break of it and stay overnight. After an early morning stroll and quick breakfast, we decided to head to the Bouddi National Park. We walked to Maitland Bay which was a reasonable hike and got the blood pumping - but it's impossible not to enjoy the beautiful clean air, the breeze through the trees and the promise of a pristine beach at the end!
